i hate going to bougie uppity stores where most of the staff are white people
when they ask “can i help you find anything today” i always feel like theyre trying to keep their eyes on me so i dont “steal”. racist ass people. this happens everywhere too. any city where there are areas of poverty and then areas of luxury those people exist. noses in the air and whatever. god forbid a person of color walks in. they automatically assume that youre either there to rob them or cant afford anything they have. pisses me off. not all but most white people dont know what struggle is. if i had to guess most of them were brought up in a somewhat middle class household. how dare those people look down on us people who have to work probably 3 times as hard because of our race or skin complexion. white people are given so much simply because they’re white. if a white girl, a hispanic girl and a black girl all educated, all attractive, and all qualified for the job apply for the same position at a department store. who out of the 3 do you think has the best chances? here’s my theory.
- white girl is the front runner why? because she’s white
- the latina because chances are she’s bilingual which is a plus in the work place
- last but not least the black girl. for obvious stereotypical misconceptions and racial profiling reasons.
it makes me mad why are white people often the standard for what’s good or what attractive. like in magazines why are there more white models than anything else? maybe one asian chick a couple black models on a page advertising something about hair products… and then 1 or 2 hispanic girls. there an issue here and it needs to be addressed.
